A branding system and website design for Hot Cold World, an off-beat art collective, embodying an ethos of urgent and unconventional approaches to creativity. Hot Cold World intends on publishing print and digital zines and needed an appropriate digital space to catalog and host them.
Results: A fully-designed and functional homepage, brand guidelines, and brand collateral.
I composed a typographic logo with a mix of typefaces, exhibiting a rebellious sense of chaos while still maintaining a cohesive boldness. I developed multiple variations of the type-lockup, ensuring that the logo could be readily applied to diverse formats—a necessity for a multimedia art collective.
The graphic elements of the website carry a rambunctious personality and a sense of enigma, ensuring that while basic navigation is intuitive, the experience of the site remains visually engaging and evocative of Hot Cold World's unconventional spirit.
Each time the homepage is loaded, a different banner background is randomly selected, creating a sense of freshness and unpredictability with every visit.
Additionally, a random horoscope-esque star image is chosen, further personalizing each visit to the site.
I created a poster series showcasing a cacophony of logomarks, taglines, and graphic elements, simultaneously overwhelming and intriguing.
